Incorporated in August 1999, DataSoft Corporation started its journey as a database consulting company providing specialised expertise in designing, implementing and optimising databases for businesses. Back then, our objective was to empower organisations to harness the full potential of their data infrastructure. This was achieved through meticulous design, expert implementation, and ongoing maintenance of databases tailored to meet specific business needs and performance requirements.
Fast-forward, DataSoft Corporation established a database consulting practice and joint venture at RAMI Corporation, providing expertise in the niche field of Sybase database technologies with both onsite and remotely based delivery. Predominantly focused on the local market segment, the venture grew rapidly to a dynamic team of more than 20 consultants and annual revenue of approximately $5 million. Notable clients included National Australia Financial Management (NAFM) – acquired by MLC which is now part of Insignia Financial; Visy Industries, Armaguard – acquired by Linfox; and National Australia Bank (NAB). RAMI Corporation was later sold to Adacel Technologies along with the established database practice.
